Tests commonly used in Virology Division

  • AGID: agar gel immunodiffusion
  • ELISA: enzyme linked immunosorbant assay
  • FAT: fluorescent antibody test
  • HAI: haemagglutination inhibition
  • PCR: polymerase chain reaction
  • PLA: peroxidase linked assay
  • SNT: serum neutralisation test
  • VI: virus isolation
