Legislation
The principal legislation relating to ABPs is Regulation (EC) No. 1069/2009. EU Regulations are directly applicable in all Member States including Ireland. However, Member States also need to introduce national legislation to enforce the EU rules. The enforcing legislation for Ireland is set out in a number of Statutory Instruments.
