Personal Imports of Animal Products
Travellers
From EU Countries
In order to maintain the high level of protection for animal and public health only animal products which have been produced in accordance with EU rules may be imported for the purpose of own consumption. Generally, this applies to animal products which are on sale to the public in the Member State of origin that have been appropriately packaged and have an identifying EU health mark.
From Non-EU Countries

However limited quantities of certain other animal products may be imported for own consumption, provided their origina is an EU approved country.
